Dromintee Boys
Dromintee P.S. Boys were successful in their Malachy McGeeney Medium Schools final against a solid Ballyhegan team. They continued with their strong recent performances in the South Armagh section to win on a scoreline of 16-6 points. The scores were spread equally across the team with some accurate shooting but what was most pleasing was the defensive performances of all their players, with some tremendous blocks and interceptions on show to keep their opponents of the scoreboard. Indeed, it was this this that set the foundation for their win in the first half when the boys played against a strong breeze and went in at the break 5 points to 4 up. Luke McBennett lifted the Cup on behalf of his teammates and his school in what is hopefully only the beginning of a long journey together for this group of boys.

On behalf of the boys and the school we would like to thank M & M Trucks for the sponsorship of a new set of jerseys for the boys and Drumroy for the sponsorship of a half-zip for all boys and girls in P.6 & P.7. A special thanks to our club coaches who give up their own spare time after school every Tuesday to coach both the boys and girls, Scott Winters, Nicole McKenna, Oliver Gaughran and of course county coach and player Greg McCabe who has been with this group of players since they were P.3. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Dromintee Girls
Dromintee PS Girls completed a fine mornings double for the school capturing victory in the Malachy McGeeney All county 9 aside Section A final against a formidable Middletown team. Playing with the aid of a breeze the team led 8-5 at the break and brilliantly replicated that scoreline in the 2nd half  to win out 16-10. The team were led by joint captains Molly O'Neill and Eabha McCreesh who hoisted the trophy to triumphant applause both in the Athletic Grounds and on their return to the school where both teams received a wonderful reception from their fellow pupils, staff, and parents.

The squad included;
Niamh Harris, Holly Toale, Grace Hughes, Amy O'Neill, Siofra Gaughran, Molly O Neill, Eabha McCreesh, Seana O Grady, Lily Bolger, Hannah Hughes, Erin O'Neill, Chloe Rose Casey, Aoibheann Dunne, Deri O’Hanlon, Sophia Gartland and Jasmine Conway.
The PS coaching team would like to express their thanks to the club members who contributed to the teams successful  efforts  this year.
Special mention to McGuills Coffee House on sponsoring the final jerseys and M and M Trucks for the training tops for all P6/7 pupils.

Jonesborough Boys
Jonesboro Primary School took the much anticipated trip to Athletic Grounds on Wednesday to take part in their 1st county final in 20 years. They faced St Mary's Maghery and after a thrilling 1st half led 6-4 at half time cheered on by bus load of supporters of their p4-p7 schoolmates and also their families & friends and indeed their club mates from Dromintee PS. Facing into strong breeze in 2nd half Jonesboro unfortunately just came up short at final whistle by 2 points on a scoreline of 10-8 which saw the Maghery school win their 6th title in 8 years and all the team & school congratulate them on their win.
Whilst it wasn't to be Jonesboros day it was an extremely proud day for the School and we hope to be back at Finals Day in the future to get that first title and this team has done themselves, their supporters, their families,their club and indeed their Parish proud and have no doubt inspired the younger girls & boys in the school to aim to play for the Jonesboro School team in the future.
The PS coaching team would like to sincerely thank all who sponsored the team on their journey this year which has seen the team equipped with all the very best gear & equipment, not only for this year, but also the years ahead. Many thanks also to Dromintee GFC for allowing school use of the club bus & facilities throughout the year.
Finally Jonesboro PS would like to express their Congratulations to Dromintee PS on winning both the boys & girls finals, a great achievement for the school and indeed the club. Jonesboro PS were delighted to leave for Athletic Grounds an hour early to ensure they were there to cheer their clubmates on.
Special mention to our midfielder Caellum who broke his arm last Friday and unfortunately missed out & the team certainly missed his power and energy in the middle of the park and also to our goalkeeper Brìan who spent considerable time in hospital this week but got doctors approval to play in the Final and put in an excellent display in nets before returning to hospital at 4pm as planned....heroic stuff!! On way home boys were treated to lunch in McDonald's and also arrived home to a goody bag from McGuills Cafe which was very well received!

Cloghogue Primary School
Congratulations also to Lucy Loughran and her Cloghogue Primary classmates who won the Large school section Final.

All at Dromintee GAC would like congratulate every player who took part and thanks to all of the sponsors and coaches who support these players.  Well done to Dromintee, Cloughogue and Jonesborough Primary schools.
